From March 25 to 28, at the invitation of the Macao Federation of Neighborhood Associations, Professor Liu Jieming, Dean of the Faculty, and Associate Dean Bu Qingping, Special Post Professor, along with Professor Qin Qin of the Department of Sociology, among others, went to Macao to participate in the 2025 Cross-Straits and Hong Kong-Macao Community Work Seminar. This seminar was organized by União Geral das Associações dos Moradores de Macau(UGAMM) and sponsored by the Social Welfare Bureau of the Macao SAR Government.Fifth Bureau Deputy Director Guo Rui of the Central Department of Society Work, Bureau of Social Organization Management Deputy Director Zhang Lin，leaders of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR and other relevant parties were invited to attend. Wu Xiaoli, President of União Geral das Associações dos Moradores de Macau(UGAMM), and Deputy Director Zhang Lin from Bureau of Social Organization Management, delivered speeches.

Representatives from universities, governments, and enterprises in the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan delivered keynote speeches on topics such as "Promoting High-quality Development of Community Work in the New Era" and "Exploring New Models of Social Capital Linkage.Dean Liu Jieming presided over the workshop on "Exploring New Models of Social Capital Linkage”.

On the morning of March 27th, Dean Liu Jieming held in-depth exchanges and discussions with União Geral das Associações dos Moradores de Macau(UGAMM) on matters such as joint training programs. Both sides expressed their commitment to further advancing the implementation of the exchanged views. Yao Hongming, Honorary President of União Geral das Associações dos Moradores de Macau(UGAMM), Wu Xiaoli, President of União Geral das Associações dos Moradores de Macau(UGAMM), Lin Minzhi, Vice Chairman, and Wu Haixin, Deputy Secretary-General, attended the meeting.

On the afternoon of March 27th, Dean Liu Jieming and his delegation were invited to attend the 41st Anniversary Celebration and Spring Reception of the United Association of União Geral das Associações dos Moradores de Macau(UGAMM). The event was graced by the presence of Acting Chief Executive of the Macao SAR Cheong Un Chong, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office Zhang Yingjie, Commissioner Su Xiangyang of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office in Macao, Legislative Assembly President Kou Ka Hien, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Leong U, Fifth Bureau Deputy Director Guo Rui of the Central Department of Society Work, and Bureau of Social Organization Management Deputy Director Zhang Lin, along with distinguished guests from all walks of life.

Since 2002, Wuhan University of Technology (WHUT) and União Geral das Associações dos Moradores de Macau(UGAMM) have maintained collaborative exchanges, annually sending approximately 25 students and social workers from each side for study and practical training. Student internships at União Geral das Associações dos Moradores de Macau(UGAMM) have played a vital role in enhancing students' professional awareness, fostering their professional identity, improving their practical skills in social work, and broadening their horizons. The ongoing efforts to advance joint training programs will further strengthen the high-quality development of social work education at WHUT.
